Allie X’s show in Boston on June 10 at The Sinclair was a stellar show and one that served many looks and tunes. As part of her “Girl With No Face” tour, Allie X delivered a powerful performance that showcased her dynamic stage presence and vocal prowess. Fans were eager to finally be able to see Allie in Boston, as this was her first headline tour in the city. During the show, she mentioned how in the meet and greet earlier that night that people have been waiting as long as four years for her to come to Boston. Well, she was finally here and the wait was well worth it.
Allie X hails from Canada originally, but has some ties to Massachusetts, with her second album being called Cape God, which she drew inspiration from MA town Cape Cod. Coming back to Boston since releasing that album in 2020 was extra special for the artist.
Everyone in attendance was certainly in for a treat that night, as the setlist was a well-curated mix of tracks from her latest album and fan favorites from previous albums. She got the night started off performing “Bitch” to the crowd’s delight. The stage design was also a great touch with spider web like red ropes all around the stage and amazing lighting production. Allie was dressed in an all-white ensemble with dark black shades that she wore for most of the night: very goth-futuristic core. She played notable songs including “Black Eye,” “Galina,” “Staying Power,” and “You Slept on Me,” along with older hits like “Paper Love” and “Casanova”. Allie split some songs playing on the piano for a more mellow, laid back moment, then turned to full-on dancing and grooving to the rest of them with the crowd jumping up and down with the energy high in the room. You really had to be there to witness just how amazing the night really was. For those looking to catch Allie X live, you better not miss out, as her live performances are a testament to her artistry and connection with her fans.
